Q. If I use your service, do I have to supply the chemicals?
A. AQUA-CARIBBEAN includes all of the chemicals necessary to maintain water balance in a chlorine treated pool.
Q. Do you come on the same day every week?
A. When you are on schedule for weekly pool service with AQUA-CARIBBEAN, we service your pool on the same day of each week. The only exception is in the case of an electrical storm or heavy rain, in which case we call to reschedule at a later day that same week.
Q. If I have a pool service, do I have to do anything?
A. Extremely rarely. Some light maintenance may be required from time to time on the part of the pool owner, for example: The pool owner should shock the pool after a heavy rain; The pool owner should add water to the pool as needed to compensate for evaporation; The pool owner should ensure that the pump is allowed to run overnight should there be the threat of a “hard freeze”.
Q. Do you have to come every week?
A. Weekly Service visits are strongly recommended. However, Bi-weekly visits are available.
Q. Do you service above ground pools?
A. Yes, AQUA-CARIBBEAN does offer service for above ground pools.
Q. Do you service pools that use Baquacil?
A. Yes, AQUA-CARIBBEAN does offer service to pools that use Baquacil. However, it is the responsibility of the pool owner to supply the chemicals in this application.
Q. How many hours a day should my filter run?
A. Your pool filter should be set to run 1 hour per day based upon every 10 degrees of ambient air temperature. For example: If the high for the day is 70 degrees, the pool pump should be set to run for 7 hours.
Exceptions: If the pool is green or cloudy, the filter should run continuously until the water is clear. If the temperature is forecast to drop below freezing, the pump(s) should run until the threat of freeze is gone.
Q. How do I know what has been done to my pool and what chemicals have been added?
A. AQUA-CARIBBEAN utilizes a “Pool Log Sheet” that is secured by the equipment in a weather proof enclosure. This log is filled out during each and every visit. This allows Pool owner to easily see by date what the service tech has done on his scheduled visit.
Q. Do you service Hot Tubs?
A. AQUA-CARIBBEAN does offer Hot Tub service.
Q. What is “Pool School”?
A. AQUA-CARIBBEAN’s Pool School is a one on one tutorial on how to operate your own pool using your own pool and equipment as the example and is conducted in your back yard.
Q. Can you guys do a one time clean-up?
A. AQUA-CARIBBEAN offers a “one time” clean-up service at an hourly rate. Chemicals necessary for clean-up and to achieve water balance are available at an additional charge.
